STORY: Enriquestuardo's "Guardianes" spoke to us right away. Cacao has a much deeper meaning in Ecuador, connecting people to their culture for thousands of years. We’re proud to be tree-to-bar chocolate makers and true preservers of Ancient Nacional cacao, which has been in Ecuador for over 5,300 years. A 78% Duality Blend, made from a mix of “Light” and “Dark” editions from 2015, is our best flavor yet. The single cacao bean at the center is a sign of the impact of Ancient National cacao, and its many years of history.
PAIRING RECOMMENDATIONS: Pairs effortlessly with dessert wines such as port and sauternes, as well as single malt whisky from Speyside or Redbreast from Ireland. Additionally, it also goes well with spirits like Tequila, Zacapa 23 Rum, aged Cognac and Blanton's Bourbon. Complementary cheese options include triple-cremes, Gouda, mild brie, and Pyrenees sheep's-milk cheese.
